I've been climbing here a year now with my 2 boys and we love it. Great atmosphere, full of friendly people ready to chat or give advice. It's an old pool building, so yes the roof occasionally leaks a little, but we're climbers, so who cares. The walls were all recently refurbished and the holds are mostly well used, so not too sharp on the hands. The route setting is creative, fun and has a mixture of challenges at each level. I feel that they do a great job of creating a wide spread of difficulty within each colour grade, so you can gain confidence by finding a soft route and then continue to progress to the really challenging stuff. Best time to go if you want quiet is Sundays afternoons or Thursday evening. If you like a social climb, then maybe Wednesday when they often have some one night only boulder problems on the area that they are resetting (quadrant all grade reset every Weds).

Awesome friendly Staff, I highly recommend. Amazing value on the taster session for my young ones. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Will be returning for sure....

Love going to this climbing gym, there's always a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I generally aim to go when it is less busy as being an older female who is new to the sport I was initially lacking in confidence but I have always felt welcome and never intimidated by anyone at the gym.

Taken various scout groups who have all had a great time with fantastic instruction. Getting a receipt or organising something off site virtually impossible. Very basic communication

Nottingham climbing centre has a great variety of both interesting, fun boulder problems for everyone as well as some fantastically set lead and top rope routes. The staff are friendly and helpful and the courses they run are informative and give you a great start in your climbing journey. The cafe has the BEST selection of cakes, decent coffee and chilled vibe.

Over two decades of great climbs. Friendly helpful staff, and regularly changed routes. Shoes and harnesses are available to rent, and there is a shop for rope and chalk etc. Coffee isn't fantastic but there are fresh cakes and tea.

Did a 2-hr introductory session to ropes with my partner. Jude was incredibly helpful and a great instructor all round. We were pretty interested already going into it but now totally hooked. Was a really good price as well at £25/each all equipment incl. Loads of bouldering and different training rooms as well as roped climbs. Do not hesitate, 10/10 could not recommend this place enough.

Very good facilities and friendly staff routes updated regularly, best to avoid peak times but even when busy can still get a good work out in. Young children welcome plenty of bouldering and a beginner room as such ideal for the young ones. The centre does sell some items of kit from shoes harnesses chalk ropes belays and a selection of protection. Highly recommended to visit.
